Be Considered

Guidelines:

In order to be considered for The Scottish New Music Chart's Top 40 each month there are a few guidelines which we ask all nominee's to adhere to so that we can ensure a fair and honest chart each month.

1) All nominee's must be unsigned and/or independent from any record label.
2) Artists are entitled to one submission each month. In the instance that more than one submission is received  we will automatically take the first submission as default and not count the others.
3) If an artist's submission makes the Top 40, then this track is automatically put forward for the next month. This will not affect any artist wishing to make a new submission the next month. (This is the only instance that an artist can have more than one track considered for the Top 40).
4) Any person submitting a track on behalf of any band or artist confirm that they are entitled to or have permission to put forward the track on behalf of that artist.

How To Submit Your Track:

There are several ways in which to submit your track for consideration into any Top 40 chart. Submissions must contain; The Artist/Band name, Track name & valid listen link or mp3. (Soundcloud, Youtube, etc). They are as follows:

  • Facebook - Submissions can be posted into the comment thread on our Facebook group used for submissions each month. The comment must contain The Artist/Band name, Track name & valid listen link, (Youtube, Soundcloud, Bandcamp etc).
  • Email - Sumbissions can be emailed to the Chart Team Leader, Andy Malarky by emailing andy@andymalarky.com with "Scottish New Music Chart Consideration" in the subject line, the email containing the Artist/Band name & an attached mp3.

If at any time you have any suggestions or questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of our Chart Team.
